Chester 8/30 |
Recently, I've noticed that he likes to listen to older songs more so than newer ones. Whenever my sister or I play older jazz, reggae or soul music, Chester will run around his cage and squeak happily. This is new since I've only ever played classic music for him since I read that classic is a favorite among guinea pigs. When older more calming music plays, he seems to be happier and popcorns around his cage as if performing an intricate dance only he can understand and master (I think it was The Temptations's "My Girl" playing when this thought came to mind).
As Chester continues to grown and develop his own attitude, I will observe how he changes and compare them to things that remain the same over time. I am excited to find new habits of his that I have not noticed before. Who knows, he may be smarter than people give guinea pigs credit for?
I love how you use "popcorns." I hope you continue to experiment with music and his reactions. I'm curious. Perhaps you could film his dancing?
ReplyDeleteTo start off I love the fact that you have a guinea pig, it's so unique and different. I also love that you experimented with music. I really like the song "My Girl" from the Temptations too, maybe you and chester have a genre in common? I would love to know what scares him or if his fears are connected with yours? Your blog it very cute and unique, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI wanna steal your guinea pig, he is so cute. I really enjoyed reading your blog the way you had worded it really kept me interested. Crazy how he reacts to the music maybe, he reacts different with different types of other sounds like really high pitch sounds or loud bangs? I am really looking forward to knowing what else Chester does.
ReplyDeleteYour guinea pig is awesome sauce. I find them so awkward and weird with wild personalities. The whole music experimenting is neat, what if they communicate with/through sound? You should try some heavy metal and record his reaction.
ReplyDeleteI could see your guinea pig staring in his own reality TV show. Chester is just a really happy and lively name. You cannot, not smile when saying it, it suits him well. Where or what do guinea pigs originate from? That might have a lot to deal with his personality traits.
Anywho, pretty interesting topic and uber excited to see where this leads!
Your guinea pig is adorable and that is a very cute habit. I have always wanted a guinea pig but the only thing my mom would allow in the house was a hamster, which also had many habits now that I realize it after reading your post. I'm sure you will find many more habits in your guinea pig's daily life routine.
ReplyDeleteI also like the 'guinea pig talk' you used, like 'popcorn', and you have created a beautiful image with the use of "an intricate dance'. I will be looking forward to reading more about the unique adventures of your guinea pig Chester.
Oh my gosh. Chester is life. #TeamChester He is the cutest thing ever. I think you should do an experiment where you play music he likes and doesn't, then see how he is the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteWow! I really enjoyed reading your blog about Chester. Never in my life thought animals would have a favorite music, hm You really do learn something new everyday! Chester seems like a very interesting pet to have around. As I was looking at that picture of Chester I immediately thought about the movie "G-Force"! I dont know if you've seen it, but its about a group of guinea pigs saving the world and Chester looks just like the one in charge of the G-Force squad.
ReplyDeleteHonestly can't wait to see what else Chester has to share with us! Does he have a favorite snack? If he enjoys music, what may be some things hes scared of? Just curious, if you do find out please share. Amazing Blog so far!(:
